On August, the 1st BasicNet’s CEO Gianni Crespi has shown to colleagues the 2017 Half-Year Report, approved by the Board of Directors, called to meet in the evening of July, 31st under the chairmanship of Marco Boglione. Aggregate sales for 372.9 million euros, up 3.5% related to the H1 2016 (Euro 360.2 million in 2016); royalties and sourcing commissions up 5.3% to 24.4 million (Euro 23.1 million in the first half of 2016). American (+24.4%) and European markets (+8.5%) development continued, as well as sponsorship and communication spend in support of the brands (up Euro 0.4 million, from Euro 12 million in 2016 to Euro 12.4 million in 2017). Commercial licensee aggregate sales were up 3.7%, despite political and economic instability in certain Asian and Middle Eastern countries. EBITDA of 8.5 million; EBIT of 5.4 million; earnings before taxes of 4.9 with a net profit of 3.5 million euros.
