On April 24th BasicNet’s CEO Gianni Crespi has shown to colleagues the Q1 2018 approved by the Board of Directors, called to meet in the morning under the chairmanship of Marco Boglione. Worldwide aggregate sales of group brand products increase to 208 million euros (+4.7% on 198.8 million in Q1 2017) with a solid sales recovery for the Superga® brand, growing 7.2% (12.9% at like-for-like exchange rates). The development on the US (+7.8%) and European (+6.5%) markets continues. Royalties and sourcing commissions up 9.6% to 13.3 million (12.2 million in the first quarter of 2017). Kappa® and Robe di Kappa® revenues globally up 1.9%; K-Way® grows 6.4%. Direct sales, almost entirely from the Italian licensee BasicItalia and its subsidiary BasicRetail, of 40.4 million euros (+6.9%). Consolidated revenues for Q1 2018 – including royalties, sourcing commissions and BasicItalia sales – amount to 53.7 million, up 7.5% (49.9 million in Q1 2017). On the same day the Shareholders’ AGM approved the 2017 Annual Accounts and the distribution of a dividend of 3.3 million euros (euro 0.06 per share).Â
