Cari BasicGuys,

siamo veramente felici di comunicare un'importantissima operazione straordinaria che riguarda il nostro Gruppo.

C'è l'abbiamo fatta a realizzare il progetto strategico del nostro Presidente e della società BasicNet, che già nel prospetto di borsa del 1999 indicava l'obiettivo di valorizzare i propri brand.

Abbiamo capitalizzato 25 anni di duro lavoro, facendo emergere il valore di uno dei nostri asset principali.

Con Alessandro e Lorenzo lavoriamo su questa operazione da 3 anni e oggi abbiamo raggiunto un accordo di vendita del 40% di K-Way con un importante partner internazionale (Permira) che ci aiuterà con la propria expertise ad entrare in una nuova fase del percorso di crescita di K-Way e del Gruppo.

Rimaniamo azionisti di maggioranza ed con i nuovi capitali che deriveranno dall'operazione potremo fare nuovi investimenti per consolidare e accelerare il processo di sviluppo.

Ci tengo a ringraziare tutto il team di K-Way per il lavoro fatto in tutti questi anni e tutte le risorse del Gruppo con cui abbiamo condiviso questo progetto.

Un ringraziamento speciale va al ristretto team di lavoro che in questi ultimi mesi ha lavorato intensamente alla due diligence.

Per motivi di riservatezza legati all'operazione non abbiamo potuto informarvi prima ma avremmo modo nei prossimi giorni di raccontarvi meglio la genesi e le prospettive di questo importantissimo progetto.

We are very glad to announce a very important extraordinary corporate transaction concerning our Group.

We have managed to carry out the strategic project of our President and of the BasicNet company, which already in the 1999 IPO prospectus indicated the objective of enhancing the value of its brands.

We have capitalized 25 years of hard work, so that the value of one of our main assets has eventually emerged.

Together with Alessandro and Lorenzo, we have been working on this transaction for 3 years, and today we have reached an agreement to sell 40% of K-Way to an important international partner (Permira), who will help us with their expertise to embark on the next phase of growth for K-Way and the Group.

We remain majority shareholders, and with the new capital resulting from this operation, we will be able to make new investments to consolidate and accelerate this development process.

I want to thank the entire K-Way team for their work over the years and all the resources of the Group with whom we have shared this project.

A special thanks goes to the dedicated team that has been working intensively on the due diligence in recent months.

For confidentiality reasons related to the transaction, we could not inform you earlier, but in the upcoming days we will have the opportunity to better explain the genesis and prospects of this very important project.
