For the 2nd year running, BasicGallery – the BasicNet Group’s historical archive – was the protagonist @Vintage Computer Festival West, held on Saturday, August 3rd and Sunday, August, 4th at the Computer History Museum, the Information Technology "Mecca" in Mountain View (California). The Apple-1 purchased by Marco Boglione at a Christie’s auction in 2010 featured in the exhibition among the over 10 rare specimens that were assembled in the garage of Los Altos, the original seat of Apple Inc., established by Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak in 1976. For the first time, a sound card to evaluate music playback was installed on the Temporary Museum’s Apple-1. Besides, current owners of the motherboards joined early Apple employees in a panel discussion. Click here for Marco Boglione’s clip screened at the event and click here for the photo gallery.
