This fall-winter 2019–20, Lacoste’s upscale sports lines will be waging a creative showdown with iconic out-erwear brands Pyrenex, Gloverall, K-Way®, Alpha Industries, and Tailor Toyo. The result is a set of five jack-ets, parkas and smart overcoats infused with a unique craftsmanship.
Lacoste has always valued creativity and excellence in all its forms, and this season its new collaboration shines a light on five legendary outerwear labels. Called upon for their own particular characteristics that combine excellence, history, and modernity, they were offered an opportunity to interpret the Lacoste wardrobe and revisit iconic pieces, each featuring a cobranded stripe blending the Lacoste logo with their own.
A SAVOIR-FAIRE GLOBAL SURVEY
Pyrenex’s Made-in-France quality, Gloverall’s old British classicism, mythical French brand K-Way®, Alpha Industries’ Mid-South military influences, and Tailor Toyo’s Japanese sophistication—these five brands have taken up the challenge to each reinvent one of their top-selling products alongside Lacoste’s creative team. Keeping close to their heritage, and spawned from the very heart of their respective ateliers, each label’s unique touch has instilled genuine expertise into unisex designs, while Lacoste’s DNA brought to the table a retro-classic sportswear aura.
K-WAY®’s raincoat, developed in 1965 by Léon-Claude Duhamel, has cosied up to the edge of sportswear, thanks to a design inspired by 1990s oversized hoodies. Zipped up to the chest, vibrant colour blocks will act as Marcel Proust’s proverbial madeleine to various generations of French aesthetes. More technical than ever, its waterproof, breathable material fits all styles and ages, even offering a kids’ version that’s up for all kinds of adventures.
The goods from these collaborations between Lacoste and Pyrenex, Gloverall, K-Way®, Alpha Industries, and Tailor Toyo will be available as early as October 2nd 2019 in Lacoste’s e-shop and in physical stores.
