Due to the global health emergency, on May 7th BasicNet’s CEO Federico Trono illustrated the Q1 2020 commercial results through videoconference with his colleagues. Worldwide aggregate sales of BasicNet’s brand products of 216.7 million euros (-10.3% despite the +9.4% in the first 2 months of this year) and consolidated revenues of 70.6 million (-5.3% versus +15.3% in January and February). The Q1 2020 commercial results of BasicNet reflect the restrictive measures to contain the spread of the Covid-19. Europe reported a 9.1% slowdown; the Americas 9%; the Middle East and Africa 18.7%; Asia and Oceania, where the impacts from the health emergency were dealt with earlier, 33.6%. The Q1 2020 results were approved by the Board of Directors, called to meet in the same morning under the chairmanship of Marco Boglione.
