BasicNet SpA is the holding company of the homonymous Group owner of the brands Kappa®, Robe di Kappa®, Jesus® Jeans, Superga®, K-Way®, Sabelt®, Briko®, and Sebago® present in the apparel, footwear, and accessories market. It operates worldwide through an international network of entrepreneurs, licensees of the brands, which produce or distribute the products. BasicNet offers its network services of research, development, industrialization of the products, and global marketing. All the company processes occur only through the Web, making BasicNet a “fully web-integrated company”. BasicNet, with headquarters in Turin, Italy, is listed on the Italian Stock Exchange since 1999.
The Group’s activity consists of enhancing the value of its trademarks and spreading the products associated with them through a global network of licensee companies. From this network comes the name BasicNet. The licensees' network covers all the most important markets in the world.
The BasicNet Group was born in 1994 when Marco Boglione’s Football Sport Merchandise, established in 1983, gained the Kappa®, Robe di Kappa®, and Jesus® Jeans brands from the failure of Maglificio Calzificio Torinese, founded in 1916. With the introduction of a new business model, there was therefore the transition from the traditional structure of a clothing company to a network business model, considered necessary to allow a strategy of internationalization on the world market.
