Turin, February 7th, 2014 - Confirming its strategic and widespread presence in the sporting world, Kappa takes part in the Sochi 2014 Olympics with three important sponsorship deals: F.I.S.I. (the Italian Winter Sports Federation, sponsored by Kappa since 2011), Argentina Ski Team and skier Hubertus Von Hohenlohe, of the Mexico Ski Team.

For F.I.S.I. the complete and innovative supply of technical ski-wear for competitions combines high levels of style and technology to meet any athletic requirement, and clean-cut graphics typical of Kappa Ski collections for F.I.S.I., mostly played on Italia light blue, the national team’s colour, and white side stripes. Sports involved include: Alpine ski (downhill, Supergiant slalom, Giant slalom, Slalom), Parallel slalom, Bobsled, Skeleton, Luge, Cross-country skiing, Biathlon, Nordic combined, Ski jumping, Moguls, Slopestyle and Snowboard cross.

Kappa will also kit the Argentina Ski Team supplying Alpine ski wear (downhill, Supergiant slalom, Giant slalom, Slalom): suits have been custom designed for the Sochi games with new, original spotted graphics.

Fifty-five-year-old skier Hubertus Von Hohenlohe will take part in his sixth Olympic Games in Sochi competing in the Giant slalom - as the only athlete representing the Mexico Ski Team - wearing a “mariachi� version of the suit (icon of Mexican culture) created and customized by the Kappa Style Department. The supply also includes an outfit for official ceremonies: Kappa 4CENTO jacket and trouser customised with special “mariachi� trimming.
