“Switch it back: 1976 vs 2016” is a video about an original 1976 Apple-1, owned by a private collector from Silicon Valley, California, being analyzed, restored and switched back on . The operation was carried out in December 2016 at Torino's Temporary Museum, inside 8bit Lab, the brain-child of Marco Boglione and Filippo Bolaffi, thanks to IT engineers Claudio Parmigiani and Gabriele Seleri, and museum curator Cecilia Botta.
Telling us all about it are the Apple-1 team, 8bit Lab founders Marco Boglione and Filippo Bolaffi, and two important figures from Silicon Valley: Paul Terrel, who in 1976 was Steve Jobs' and Steve Wozniak's first customer via his “Byte Shop”, and Dag Spicer, senior curator of San Francisco's Computer History Museum.
After restoration work by the team based in Torino, the l’Apple-1 worked perfectly.
