Following the success of the SS18 Superga® campaign, British fashion designer and model Alexa Chung is announced as the face of the FW18 and designer of the new capsule
After being announced last March, Alexa Chung reappears as the face of the FW18 Superga® collection. This photo shoot offers an insight into different ways of styling Superga® up throughout the colder season. The campaign was shot in London, and captured both Alexa and Superga®’s long standing collaborative spirit.
In 2017 Alexa Chung launched her eponymous label, following several successful collaborations, campaigns and musings for some of the world’s most recognisable brands, including her first campaign with Superga® in 2011. At the heart of ALEXACHUNG is the vision “to create great clothes for great women”. Incorporating her intuitively sharp style, a combination of Parisian chic mixed with a New York edge, the clothes and accessories reflect her wondrously eclectic personality.
Alexa Chung’s collaboration with Superga® began in 2011, when she was the brand’s Ambassador; and since Alexa’s love for Superga® never died she returned to design, for the second time, her own footwear collection with Superga® for Fall Winter 2018.
Superga x ALEXACHUNG Fall Winter 2018 collection focuses on an elegant overall thickness: new shapes that recall bowling shoes, warmer fabrics like suede and velvet, chunky soles. The Alpina lug-sole is a reboot of a historical model that has its heritage in the Superga sports’ training styles. ALEXACHUNG has worked a lot on this sole because of its contemporary streetwear appeal that suits both booties and sneakers.
