Ski World Cup, Kappa®-sponsored Italian athletes dominate in Altenmarkt (entire news)
Federica Brignone won the first women’s Alpine combined competition @2020 Ski World Cup in Altenmarkt (Austria) on January, 12th. The FISI athlete – the Italian Winter Sports Federation sponsored by Kappa® since 2011 – took the podium along with her teammate Marta Bassino, who earned the 3rd place. The previous day, Nicole Delago came second in female downhill in Altenmarkt. Great results for the Italians also in natural track luge. In Val Passiria (Italy), Evelyn Lanthaler came first both in women’s single and individual Pursuit; Alex Gruber, first in the men’s single competition; Pigneter-Clara came first both in men’s double and double Pursuit, followed by the Lambacher brothers in double Pursuit. Third place both for Greta Pinggera (female) and Patrick Pigneter (male) in individual Pursuit. Excellent placement also in Artificial Track Luge in Altenberg (Germany): Dominik Fischnaller came second in the men’s single; Andrea Voetter was third in the women’s single competition; third step of the podium for Fisi athletes also in luge team relay on artificial track (Voetter, Fischnaller and the duo Rieder-Kainzwaldner).
