American Mikaela Shiffrin won her 83rd Ski World Cup race at Plan de Corones (Kronpltaz, Italy) on Tuesday, January 24th, thus surpassing the record of her compatriot Lindsey Vonn, who closed her career with 82 victories. The US Ski & Snowboard athlete, sponsored by Kappa®, set the best time in both heats of the Giant. In addition to the absolute record in the history of the women’s Ski World Cup, Shiffrin is still at the top of the 2022-23 ranking, also dominating the specialty ranking with 500 points. The day after, on Wednesday, January 25th, the American athlete also won the Giant Slalom at Plan de Corones, thus beating his record and rising to 84 victories in the Ski World Cup.
