Heritage meets technology to create K-Way®’s new skiwear range
Since 1965, K-Way® has been the ultimate outdoor jacket, or more specifically, a smart companion and go-to ally providing optimal protection for open-air adventures. Its iconic packable construction, continuous innovation of cutting-edge technical fabrics and meticulous development of ultra-functional details are merely the starting point for a legacy still undergoing constant evolution.
Much more than just a brand, K-Way® is a way of life, a movement that was born in the centre of Paris and has flourished into the very essence of modern styling. The big reveal for Autumn-Winter 2023 is the K-Way® Skiwear collection: a branch of the L’Action label dedicated to slope lovers and seasoned après skiers.
But the relationship between K-Way® and the mountains is nothing new. It’s an integral part of the brand’s heritage, nurtured and reinterpreted this season to curate an innovative highaltitude edit that combines contemporary design with peak performance. Height, speed and the luxury of feeling protected in all weather conditions provide the inspiration behind a complete ski wardrobe, structured into two head-to-toe looks for him and her.
The first outfit is based around a lightweight yet super-water-resistant shell, specially destined for winter sports with optimal insulation yet extreme freedom of movement too. Its triple-layer twill construction is windproof and breathable with a waterproof rating of 20,000.
The second one is designed for mountaineering activities. This package delivers superior warmth, crafted from double-layer twill with a waterproof rating of 15,000, padded with PrimaLoft Eco and lined in quilted nylon. Both his and her jackets feature an adjustable peaked hood, a handy ski pass pocket on the sleeve, adjustable cuffs and a detachable inner waist gaiter.
The trousers flaunt an ergonomic, ultra-functional design equipped with several pockets, an adjustable waist with velcro tabs, a practical glove hanging loop and openings at the cuffs to accommodate bulky hiking boots. Completing both looks is an essential polar fleece jumper, promising exceptional thermal insulation. Styled with a regular fit for men and a slim fit for women, this garment is finished with a half-zip closure, contrast cuffs with thumbholes to keep hands sheltered from the cold, and a practical watch window.Â
Even the palette explores K-Way®’ s historic legacy, inspired by the colours of the French flag: red, white and blue, with an indispensable black version too. All items can be worn together in statement monochrome looks, or mixed and matched to create endless unique combinations.
